Being a Birds Nest Ambassador for Zhengdian Birds Nest (正典燕窝) for the 3rd year running, I think I’m qualified enough to show you how to cook birds nest! You will need: 🔸 10g birds nest ≈ 2 shells as per my video 🔸 300-400ml of water (depending on your preference for texture) 🔸 Dried red dates (preferably deseeded) 🔸 Honey or rock sugar or brown sugar or white sugar or any sweetener of your choice! 🔸 Optional: ginseng, goji berries, wolf berries, or any dried herbs that has a sweet finish Birds nest is a delicacy that is indeed pricey but with the amount of amino acids and nutritional benefits that are jammed pack in it, it’s really no wonder. And I have you know, I have visited Zhengdian’s swiftlets sanctuary and it really is a SANCTUARY! The swiftlets live in such a beautiful environment that is brimming with natural insects for feeding and naturally attracted to the homes provided for nesting due to its well-balanced eco-system (likely also largely due to the classical music playing 24/7!) Another fun fact, swiftlets naturally make about 3-4 nests a year and the nests are only harvested after the chicks leave the nests. These nests are never used again and the swiftlets will build new nests for new chicks so you’ll see that nests are built stacked up on each other! So contrary to popular belief, harvesting birds’ nest do not at all harm or endanger the swiftlets species and in fact, has the adverse effect of increasing the population as a whole due to the improved methods of harvesting! So remember, when choosing a birds nest brand, choose wisely! Find a brand that is not only sustainable and eco-friendly but one you can trust isn’t selling bleached or fake birds nest! #nataliacooksstuff #birdsnest #tutorial #正典燕窝 #zhengdian Being a Birds Nest Ambassador for Zhengdian Birds ... 2020-05-09 19:31:27 有 21 人說讚
Striving for progress, not perfection. I don’t know about you but I’m struggling to stay productive amidst our (some more than others) rather bleak circumstances so I’m resorting to all sorts of things to stay sane, let alone motivated. I have found that doing headstands have a shirt ton of benefits so— 10 awesome health benefits of headstands: 1. Stimulates the lymphatic system 2. Develop strength in core muscles 3. Strengthens shoulders and arms 4. Decreased fluid build-up in legs, ankles & feet 5. Improves disgestion 6. Increases blood flow to the head and scalp 7. Improves blood flow to the eyes 8. Increases focus 9. Helps to flush out the adrenal glands 10. Which in turn, relieves stress, anxiety, fear & worrisome thoughts! And the awesome benefit of having a stylish yoga mat and workout outfit is it’ll motivate you to get your sweat on more often than not! @adidaswomen #adidasmy #adidassg @mysugarmat #mysugarmat Striving for progress, not perfection. In lieu of Ramadan month, posting this up because don’t us Malaysians miss going to Ramadan markets to jalan-jalan while we munch on our apams? Happy buka puasa, my Muslim friends! By popular demand, I have been requested to leave recipes down because people would like to refer to it. For this recipe, it was inspired by @khairulaming so you can check out his apam balik tutorial for the batter (although I did make a few changes of my own to my batter). If you’re lazy to search for it, here is the copy pasted recipe (alterations are in brackets): 🧇 2 cups of all purpose-flour 🧇 1/2 cup sugar (I used brown sugar) 🧇 1/2 tsp baking soda 🧇 1 tsp baking powder 🧇 1 egg 🧇 1 1/4 cup of water (I ended up adding double this amount to achieve the same consistency as his batter... so I’d say I added about 2 1/2 cup of water) 🧇 Yellow coloring (didn’t have this and still came out look mighty fine) 🧇 2 tbsp melted butter 🧇 Salt to taste Toppings: 🍯 Butter 🍯 Sugar (again used brown sugar) 🍯 Crushed peanuts 🍯 Creamed corn Not sure why even though I followed his recipe super precisely that my batter was pretty thick and I got feedback from others who tried as well that they too had a pretty thick batter but still went ahead to make it and it works just fine too. I guess with the additional water, I was able to make an extra batch! Hope you guys are enjoying my cooking videos!
